In 2008 Kawasaki redesigned their best selling bike the EX250. When they were done Kawasaki had the new 250R to offer to the public. Needless to say dealers had trouble keeping up with the demand for the new 250R. Even with the redesign and the mass hysteria over the 250R's release very few aftermarket manufacturers have stepped up to produce parts for this gem of a bike.
